A captivating read is a must have while trying to catch a tan (or in my case a burn). Poolside, by the beach, or in your room, a book is the perfect way to get lost in another world.
This was the first one off of my summer list and I could not put it down until it was finished! The Pactby Jodi Picoult is a novel about a possible suicide pact between two teenagers and the scary depth of their love. A slightly frightening, young love story that makes us question how well we understand relationships, especially amongst teenagers, and just how much stress is needed to break bonds that had seemed to be infinite.
I usually hate love stories. Anything that ends so perfectly just never seems real to me. With The Pact, it was exactly the opposite; a story that started perfect goes on to crumble. I feel like we all know a couple that is this connected or at least seems this perfect, and for me I definitely had a few people in mind while reading. It amazed me to think that two people can love each other to such an extent that it is dangerous. To see how their families deal with the tragedy that unfolds was the moving part, leaving me dying to find out answers.
Jodi Picoult always gets an A+ in my book, but her fifth novel takes you on an emotional roller coaster of a life time. She creates suspense and tension on sensitive, but real life topics. It’s amazing that she can understand what a seventeen year old male would be thinking as a women in her 40′s. I highly recommend her novels as they are fiction but not so far fetched from our own experiences. And for those who aren’t so big on reading…. four of her books have been made into television movies!

Staying healthy has never been easier. There is a plethora of supplementary pills, vitamin waters, fruit smoothies and juices all over the market. I recently stumbled upon Activate drinks. Now Activate not just your ordinary vitamin beverage. The caps store active ingredients. The vitamins are found to be more nutritious when stored separated from water. Here’s a look at this fancy product.
I got very excited when Natalie suggested I write about Tubo Hotel in Mexico. That is because their website is partially written in Spanish- my minor finally came in handy aha! To be honest, I read a short blurb in Spanish on the welcome page before quickly clicking onto the “Frequently Asked Questions” tab.
What amazes me about the place isn’t the ambiance, decor, or concept, but the price. The room goes for only $500 pesos all year round! Take a look at what cool architecture the hotel is!
In celebration of Harry Potter’s last series that is hitting theaters at midnight today, Sienna Ray is going to highlight a couple of Harry Potter landmarks in London. When visiting, be sure to stop by the Gloucester Cathedral and the infamous University city in Oxford!
Happy Thursday and I hope all of the die hard fans out there were able to get their hands on the tickets for tonight! Be sure to let us know how the movie went!
Gloucester Cathedral, the hallway Harry Potter frequents at Hogwarts
Oxford... not a bad place to call home for those Uni years!
only very long legged children could kick your seat
If given a choice between a first class ticket or a luxury hotel room suit, I’d definitely go with the first class ticket, especially if it’s with Singapore Airlines. Their first class seating was voted best, placing Emirates second. Check out the perks of flying first class!
What you get for your $$: Dom Perignon and Krug champagne, Givenchy sleep suits and slippers, Ferragamo toiletries, a down duvet and oversize pillows, 23 inch LCD screen, noise cancelling headphones, and more.
